The sun shone from first thing in the morning, and the day started with Mossley Band playing "Hail Smiling Morn" outside the band room before the short march around to the school yard.

We then had a quick procession to the market ground for a service outside, with the hymn this year played by St John's Mossley Brass Band.

After the service we had the morning Churches together walk through Mossley.

After a couple of hours rest in the afternoon, it was time for the evenings contests.

Mossley Band competed at all 9 venues in Tameside, and then ventured up to Scouthead for "one more contest"

It was a very successful evening for the band, who won First Prize as the Best Local Band overall for the Tameside contests.
